Episode 44 - The final games in the SPL and the Scottish Cup final preview

It is a full house as Laurie, Krys, Greig join me to discuss the final weekend of the SPL. Well, three of us discuss the SPL games, because Laurie didn't watch any of the highlights.

Laurie also tells us how nervous he is in the run up to the Scottish Cup final and we all give our predictions for the game.

The Paul Band Charity bet has had a few lean weeks, so we take a slightly different approach to this weeks bet.

Laurie is on editing duty, which you will probably realise with the ending to the podcast.

Episode 43 - relegation and European qualification

Laurie makes his long awaited return to the podcast after a sabbatical to concentrate on his uni work. You can tell he is in charge of editing again when you hear the intro music.

Greig is sick (not like that) and misses this week, so it's me (Craig), Krys and Laurie.

We cover two rounds of SPL ties in this busy podcast. With the season coming to a close, we see 3rd and 4th place being secured, as well as the relegation spot being decided.

Laurie takes over the Paul Band charity bet, after another poor performance last week.

Finally we preview the final SPL games of the season.

Episode 42 - Goals, goals, goals and the final Old Firm of the season

The SPL had twenty four goals over the weekend, so there is plenty to discuss in this week's podcast.

On Sunday there was the last Old Firm game at Celtic Park, with Celtic winning 3-0, so there is obviously a lot of praise for Celtic, and perhaps the opposite for Rangers.

Krys chose the Paul Band charity bet last week, but after under performing I take over the selection process.

Episode 41 - Post split SPL banter

Greig, Krys and I have been described as the dream team (my words), but I read a couple of humorous podcast reviews that suggest otherwise. It was only after the podcast that I realised I should have read out positive reviews as well, but that can maybe wait until next week.

This weekend seen the first matches in the SPL following the split. The Championship is tied up, but the fight at the top is for the remaining Champions League spot in third. St Johnstone faced Dundee United, who both have eyes on 3rd, and Motherwell face champions Celtic.

Krys steps up to the plate with this week's Paul Band charity bet. I let everyone down with only one win out of four, so hopefully he can do better.

Next week sees the final (ever?) Old Firm of the season and we stick our necks out and try to predict a winner. Celtic got two votes and Rangers got one. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to guess who voted for who ;)

Episode 40 - Scottish Cup semi final special - goals, celebrations, handballs and Neil Lennon

Greig returns to join Krys and I for this week’s podcast.

With two Scottish Cup semi finals this weekend, there is plenty to cover.

There were six goals, with one being particularly tasty, and two stand out celebrations, with one including a dummy(no offence Leigh) and one being potentially the best celebration you will see at Hampden.

In the Hearts vs Celtic game, there were a number of contentious decisions, so we try and cover those as impartially as we can. During this discussion, I get out the FIFA rule book, to discuss the definition of a hand ball, and try to persuade others that a penalty was the correct decision.

Following Neil Lennon’s rush onto the pitch, and subsequent Twitter comments, we discuss how he is maybe a nice guy really and just needs to work on his public persona.

We were going for a third Paul Band charity bet victory in a row, but alas it was not to be. I take the honour of picking this week’s matches, in the hope we can add to the pot.

The SPL returns this weekend, with the first of the post split matches. We take our weekly stab in the dark and try to predict the outcome of each match.

Episode 38 - Success in the Paul Band charity bet

John makes a comeback on the podcast, join Craig and Krys, as Greig takes a week off.

John is a big fan of our national team, so discussion sways towards Levein's selection policy, a Scotland B team, as well as covering a few exciting wingers we have in the SPL.

We discuss the weekends SPL games, with it being a particularly good weekend, containing some very good goals.

There is an update on the Paul Band, with the pot swelling to almost £90. Yorkhill has been chosen as the charity to benefit from the charity pot at the end of the season.

We conclude the podcast with our predictions for the final SPL games prior to the split.

Episode 36 - Killie win the cup and a preview of Rangers vs Celtic

Congratulations to Kilmarnock, who made history as they won the League Cup at the weekend, by beating Celtic 1-0. We discuss the main talking points of the game, including a debate on whether the late penalty claim should have been given. I did predict the 1-0 victory to Killie, but I don't like to go on about it ;)

There is an update on the Paul Band Charity, which only managed a 50% success rate last weekend, with there hopefully being a change in fortune with next weeks prediction.

St Mirren play Hearts in a Scottish Cup replay on Wednesday night, and we predict who will progress to the semi finals.

It's an important weekend for SPL title, with the possibility of Celtic clinching the title depending on certain results in the Kilmarnock vs Motherwell game and the Rangers vs Celtic game. We give our predictions for the aforementioned games, as well as the other four SPL games.

Episode 35 - Scottish Cup Quarter Finals

The SFF regulars return – Craig, Greig and Krys.

There was only one SPL game last weekend, but it still gave us the goal of the entire weekend, although the scorer might not agree.

The Scottish Cup quarter finals took place, with Aberdeen, Hibs and Celtic progressing, with St Mirren and Hearts going to a replay.

Sunday sees the league cup final between Celtic and Kilmarnock and we make our predictions on the scoreline and eventual winner.

We also predict the SPL games that are due to take place, with Ranger’s visit to Tannadice and the Edinburgh derby being two stand out games.
